Dunesies Personal
for iPhone, iPad and macOS

Dunesies Personal runs AI models entirely on your device, so your conversations never leave it.

What we collect
Nothing. Dunesies Personal has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. We do not collect, store, sell, or share any personal information, and we have no servers that receive your data.
Your conversations
Everything you type and every reply the AI writes is processed on your device. Your chats, your custom instructions, and your settings are saved only in the app's private storage on your device. You can delete any chat inside the app, and deleting the app removes all of it.
Model downloads
When you choose a model in the Model library, or enter a model link yourself on macOS, the app downloads the model file directly from Hugging Face (huggingface.co) or the address you entered, over an encrypted connection. As with any download, Hugging Face receives standard technical information such as your IP address, which is handled under the Hugging Face Privacy Policy. Nothing is downloaded unless you choose a model, and your conversations are never sent. On iPhone and iPad, the app checks on your device whether you are on Wi-Fi so it can tell you when a download is waiting.
Purchases
On iPhone and iPad, some models are sold as one-time in-app purchases. Payment is handled entirely by Apple under your Apple Account. We never receive your name, email address, or payment details. The app only receives confirmation from Apple of which models you own, so it can unlock them.
Reporting a response
On iPhone and iPad, if you choose Report response on a reply, the app opens your email app with a message to us containing that reply. Nothing is sent unless you send the email yourself. If you do, we receive your email address and the message, and use them only to review the report and respond to you.
On macOS
When it sets up or updates its AI engine, the Mac app downloads the engine (llama.cpp) and, if needed, the CMake build tool from GitHub (github.com). GitHub receives standard technical information such as your IP address, which is handled under the GitHub Privacy Statement. Files you attach to a chat are read on your Mac and are never uploaded.

The Acknowledgements screen links to model licenses on other websites. Those websites have their own privacy policies.

for iPhone and iPad

Dunesies Book does not collect, store, or share any of your personal data. Everything you do in the app stays on your device.

What we collect
Nothing. Dunesies Book has no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no tracking. It has no servers, and reading never needs a connection, so we never receive your books, your reading activity, or any information about you or your device.
Books you import
When you import a PDF, Dunesies Book keeps its text and cover inside the app on your device. Reading the text of the PDF, including text recognition for scanned pages, is done entirely on your device, using Apple's built-in technology and an open source text recognition model included in the app. Your books are never uploaded anywhere.
Voice reading
Voice mode uses the text-to-speech voices built into iOS and iPadOS. The text is spoken on your device and is not sent to us.
Photos
If you choose a custom cover for a book, you pick a single photo with the system photo picker. Dunesies Book only receives the photo you select, stores it on your device as the book cover, and does not access the rest of your photo library.
Subscriptions
Dunesies Book is free for your first 4 books. Dunesies Book Pro is an auto-renewing subscription handled entirely by Apple under your Apple Account. We never receive your name, email address, or payment details. The app only asks Apple whether your subscription is active, and it keeps the number of books you have imported on your device, in its secure storage, so the count stays if you reinstall the app. That number is never sent to us.
Reading progress and settings
Your reading position, reading time, streak, and app settings are stored only on your device.
Deleting your data
You can remove any book from your library inside the app, which deletes its text and cover from your device. Deleting the app removes all of its data.

What we collect
When you use the contact form or join a waitlist on dunesies.com, we receive your name, email address and, if you give it, your company.
How we use it
We use them only to reply to you or to tell you when the product you chose is ready.
Waitlist
Waitlist sign-ups are stored with our email provider, Brevo, and every email has an unsubscribe link.
Deleting your data
Ask us at contact@dunesies.com and we will delete your details.
Cookies and tracking
Our websites use no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
